How To Be Blog is riffing off Baratunde Thurston's How To Be Black. (That's NOT an affiliate link to Amazon — so after you buy the book, you can still feel free to buy some shirts!) Anyway, I realize this shirt makes no sense whatsoever but that's pretty much the point. In switching things up on the Blog, I've presented myself with some new and interesting challenges. I'm still working through how to tackle them…figuring out how to be. I'm partial to type tees but this new direction will open things up quite a bit. Expect plenty of abstract prints in addition to Blog-centric and/or otherwise straightforward stuff. For now, though: shameless self-promotion! Buy this for $20+.

Three is the magic number. Approximately three months ago, ATshirtBlog marked its three-year anniversary, at which point posts ceased appearing on this blog. The reason for the hiatus: a change in direction. In the short time ATB has been around, I've come across some great tees and even greater people. And I loved it. But it's time to do things a bit differently here. Not long ago, I changed my approach to Tshirt-blogging in an attempt at greater efficiency. That hasn't worked out quite as well as I had hoped and the result was shorter, less frequent posts. Something had changed for me. I still loved blogging. And I still loved Tshirts. But I no longer loved blogging about Tshirts. With newer Tshirt blogs popping up, older Tshirt blogs coming out with stronger posts, and the rise of curatorial sites like Svpply and Pinterest, I felt the direction ATshirtBlog was going was not just redundant but completely unnecessary. So while Three is meant to mark three years of blogging, it also marks significant change: instead of being a blog about Tshirts, ATshirtBlog will now be functioning as a blog through Tshirts. Each shirt is, in effect, its own post. I previously set up a Shop in order to keep this blog ad-free; now this blog will serve to populate it. Needlemouse by Meat Bun is a brilliant mash-up. So much so, in fact, that I'm surprised I've never seen it before. I am not a huge fan of Sonic or Mickey but I would rock the hell out of this joint. Available for $24.

This America Tshirt has got to be the best looking America Tshirt I've ever seen. Get it for $36 from CXXVI. Available in red, white, and blue of course.

Don't Wait, Meditate is another Will Bryant joint. The previous one grabbed me but this one speaks to me. Available for $18.

Defend Endor by Everett Steele is a fresh Star Wars-themed flip on "Defend Ireland" shirts. It has a nice ring to it; rolls right off the tongue. Peg and Awl have a sweet logo. This particular logo tee is a limited edition, adorned by hand. They carry a number of fine non-Tshirt-related products in their Etsy store which warrant a look. While there, you can scoop the tee for $45. You can find the mens version here.
